Lake Superior

There is something so peaceful about water. It is such a serenity and yet it is so powerful and it's persistence can forever mark things. It can form itself into whichever vessel that tries to contain it. It is essential to our survival as human beings. Yet, given the right conditions it can cause devastation, carve canyons, dilute, halt activity, and be solid or vapor. These are a few of the things that come to mind when I think of the great things of water. And here I was, sitting on one of the greatest freshwater lakes in the world- Lake Superior.
